Yesterday, 65 years old singer Dave Dee died after a three-year cancer battle. If you still remember the hit singles which went to Number One in the UK Singles Chart in 1968, ‘Bend It’ (1966) and ‘The Legend Of Xanadu’, Dave Dee was the lead vocalist. Dee also had remained positive throughout his illness. Cooney said, “He didn’t let it get him down. He was defying it”. He left the group in 1969, and later he rejoined the band in the ‘90s to play nostalgia shows.
