I like Eric Clapton so I decided to write Eric Clapton Biography in short. Eric Clapton was born in England in 1945. His father was a Canadian service man who went back to Canada after World War II, and his mother left soon thereafter to join him. Eric was raised by his grandparents, who he thought were his real parents until he was nine years old. His grandparents told him that his mother as his sister since they wanted to shield him from the stigma that came with being an “illegitimate” child.

Eric Clapton was first inspired when he watched Jerry Lee Lewis perform on television. His blues was born that day. He started to get into music full time when he was expelled at 17 for playing his guitar in class. Later in 1963, Eric Clapton joined a band called the Yardbirds, with Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck, which just happened to boast of three enormously popular quitarists. They were finally known for their bluesy style and riveting guitar melodies. The band was an instant smash hit. However, in 1965, Eric Clapton left the band since the band progressed towards mainstream rock and roll. He started to make the band, the Bluesbreakers, but in 1966 he decided to form his own band, naming it Cream. His band became the most recognizable and loved bands in the world. Every one of their albums was a huge hit.

His band, Cream was mentioned same as Rolling Stones and the Beatles. This trio recorded three albums before deciding to put together a farewell cut entitled Goodbye in 1969. Drug abuse and clashing egos were seen as the primary reasons. Later on, Eric Clapton made a wise decision which he decided to strike out on his own. He released an album entitled 461 Ocean Boulevard in 1974. In the past 30 years, Clapton has released 15 studio albums. Eric Clapton is the only artist to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times, has won several Grammy Awards and is known for his guitar skill in every country in the world. One of my favorite from Eric Clapton songs is “My Father’s Eyes”. Although I like most of his songs, I can listen to this song ten times or more.
